I spared Deb these details
If only our Mother's Day conversations could revolve around what we're wearing instead of what great moms we are
I do need to call my mom more and then maybe we could get to that point.
Here to celebrate of one of the things you get in exchange for the noise of big city life, and that is the freedom to wear whatever you want and no one bats an eye. I don’t consider myself an outlandish dresser, per se, but never having to ask myself if a look is “too much” is a luxury that I’ll trade for the middle of the night sirens.
I found the kind of rugby shirt that 2/3 of your friends will leave the shop wearing. And my favorite bike shorts are currently on sale.
Mother Fashion is smiling down on us this week with not one, but two under $30 iterations of this sold out (pre-order here) top that I love. My white pants (wearing the size 36 here) and I survived an unexpected period, and these flats are my most worn shoe of maybe all time? I’ve also been wearing the black swan version of this outfit thanks to these $135 black pants.
One thing I didn’t share with my mom is the amount of events I’ve shown up to in my underwear lately. As a woman raised in the Clueless era, I learned fast and early that parents will never understand the beauty of a sheer outfit. This outfit is back in stock and under $350. Sandals where a Matches fire sale purchase (if you see any in stock, tell me! ) and my bag.
Speaking of red sandals, here is a pair that I have my eye on. I actually saw the pair from Ancient Greek first, so I won’t declare who is copying whom. Show me a closet the clear/camel variation wouldn’t seamlessly fit in!
My friends came to visit! Jaw hurts from laughing and talking so much, but emotions are regulated and still riding a high. I believe in buying one whimsical piece from Bode every few seasons, and my peers pressured me into buying this sweater in May. I have no regrets.
Alfie sheer skirt I found on Cafe Leandra. Favorite tank for three summers now.
Lined up outside of H&M bright and early to grab this delightful little pearl number.
Been taking this gorgeous Pimlico bucket bag from Mulberry with me on errands both small and large. Easily fits phone, wallet, and a bottle of raspberry preserves. Wearing here with a men’s The Frankie Shop button down, my favorite sandals, my favorite hat, and again bike shorts.
I was embarrassed to learn that I’ve been missing out on a neighborhood landmark with incredible sandwiches very close to my house. Court Street Grocers delivered on the hype and served a delicious Cubano, Ollie (roast turkey breast, provolone, broccoli rabe, crystal hot honey, and mayo on seeded hero), Rueben, and carrot cake. The Ollie was my favorite but they were all excellent.
Another menswear item I’m wearing this summer are these Alex Mill shorts. I wish I had a better picture for you but they are perfect. I went with XS but wouldn’t be mad if they were a touch bigger. They also come in a lovely red, black and blue.
And a few extras to end with:
the last thing I bought (similar but from J.Crew)
this to wear with printed bikini bottoms I already own.

Where are the blue jellies in pictures 1 and 2 from. Not seeing them on the jellies link.
I bought this rugby shirt on your rec and I fully vouch for its supremacy
