Zycloom is handcrafted in New York City. It’s the essence of endless timeless summer. Made with solid sterling silver, pearls and semi precious stone. Every piece is an amplification and cherry on top.
I first found Zycloom when I was on my way to lunch and popped into MNZ. I grabbed the pink sash anklet and have worn it over socks and sandals alike. She’s swam in pools and waded in the ocean and still looks great after eveything. My summer mood board is essentially that picture in the bottom left of the photos above. I bought a few more Zycloom pieces to my collection and was lucky enough to get my hands on them yesterday and they’re all even more stunning in person. They exude the perfect free spirit energy just like their designer Jade Boulton. She is also now unwittingly my girl crush.
Next up is Ayllon. Based in Australia but heavily influenced by Argentian roots, Ayllon is minimal yet surprising in it’s materials and textures. Jewelry, combs and bags that feel ageless and and striking without being flashy. If you saw my instagram story yesterday you heard me say that there’s something about glass jewelry really calling to me. I appreciate that it transcends the gold vs. silver debate. It has a sea mist quality that is capable of framing a scene while hardly being there at all. A vision of a chunky-yet-transparent sapphire blue flash lit by candlelight, holding a cocktail, is painting itself in my brain.
“We like to say it is a homage to eternal elegance, the brand is named after my grandmother who is my my biggest inspiration, a very chic woman who is now 99 years old. Many of our designs are inspired in memories of things she wore or how she would accessorize. To this day she doesn’t leave the house without preparing her outfits” - Inés, designer and owner of Ayllón
Also, don’t miss their leather bags. Available now in brown and black and this ivory option (and red!) will be available in May.
Source Unknown is quickly rising in the ranks of where I look to get the label-free and on trend clothing akin to The Frankie Shop. What I appreciate about Source Unknown is that we’re getting a bit more of the femininity and sexiness. I stand by those adjectives but ask you to interpret them very gently, i.e. nothing I’ve highlighted here couldn’t be worn at a company off-site. The sweat mini skort ($105) is exactly the type of item you pat yourself on the back for buying when you pull it out for dinner with your friends on a Friday night. The skort is the modesty loophole I needed in my teens- lets you show a lot of leg while technically covering your underwear.
Thank you to everyone supporting my work. It means so much to me. This article isn’t sponsored in any way by any of these brands :)
