I know this may come as a shock, but I tend to be drawn toward high-end items. However, I think there’s a time to save and a time to spend, and for me, my investment purchases are always intricately calculated. The math is exclusively rooted in emotion, happens lightening fast, and looks something like this:

The other thing I take into consideration is if it’s relevant/of a certain moment. This is my personal opinion, but I don’t find as much joy in splurging on a classic. I’d rather buy a cheaper version of something that expected. I find the most satisfaction in investment pieces that feel unique, current, or have an unexpected twist.
