Montreal - The Hits
Recommendations from me and you, and a case for the most French city in our continent.
Wyatt and I celebrated our 14th anniversary in Montréal as a throwback to the time we spent there with Wyatt's 5k endeavor, Color Me Rad Montréal. And once you baptize a city in pastels, you get attached. Plus I love being among the French in the off chance someone still calls me mademoiselle. I've collected all the best Montreal recommendations here, including the ones we tried and loved. Gros bisous!
Our Favorites:
St. Viateur Bagel (Herb garlic on rosemary or Nutella on sesame seed) |
Bota Bota spa for the water circuit | Walking Mont-Royal Street | Schwartz Deli | SSENSE | Vintage Shopping on Saint Laurent (make an appointment before) | Elena | Joe Beef (go to Le Vin Papillon next door if you can’t get in)
Let me pause to talk about vintage shopping on Saint Laurent across from Schwartz. It is a time capsule and might be worth the trip alone. Wyatt and I both spent hours combing through the racks and had the time of our lives. If there was a place that manufactured perfect vintage Levi’s, it would be this street.
Other Top Recommendations:
Olive et Gourmando (pastries) | Arthurts (brunch) | Lemeac (lunch) | Liverpool House (oysters) | Foxy (dinner) | Nora Gray (dinner) | L'express (dinner) | Larry's (drinks) | Spa Strom | Old Port (neighborhood) | Atwater Market
I really think you’d love it.
